A terrible mistake

What’s wrong with this picture?

I do enjoy being able to break some of the rules of quilting, but I broke this rule by accident. Hopefully the photo shows you the colours clearly enough to work out what I have done wrong.

Unpick, unpick, unpick…

  1. Ok to the untrained eye I have absolutely no idea what’s wrong?! I have huge admiration for you and this task and it is going to be so beautiful when it is finished. The love, sweat and tears and stories it will hold for years to come xx

    • Thank you, Jo, what a lovely comment. I definitely approve! I feel like I am nearly there with the project, but I also know that I have weeks, if not months left. And yes, I’m looking forward to loving my quilt for years.

  2. Ruth, I don’t think I’ve figured out how to follow ur blog but I’ve looked at it every time I’ve seen ur fb posts. I want u to know I am awed. I began a similar project in the winter of 2011,and can boast an enormous pile of fabric in various shapes and sizes, none of which will ever form a quilt 😦
    well done you, it’s gorgeous!

    • Thank you, Julia. It’s coming on now, although I know I’ve still got a long way to go. I am enjoying it so much, I love having an on-going project and I don’t mind that it won’t be finished for ages.
